Sometimes when I can't think about any chicken recipes to cook, I have to think long and hard...I have to think about the recipe which I haven't cooked in the last 27 years!After thinking long and hard about it, I suddenly remembered about Imli
Chicken!This is a new type of chicken recipe It tastes amazingAnd you'll surely like it!But meet me after the music to know more about this recipe.Keep the
ingredients handy to immediately start cooking!There are 2 types of tamarinds available in the market Red tamarindAnd black tamarind.You can use red tamarind if it's available as it has a slight sweet note Whereas black tamarind has a bitter note.
If you can't find red tamarind, Then you can use black tamarind as well.Leave it aside for a while And let's proceed with the next step.Let's start preparing the paste!Add a generous amount of ginger Because the combination of ginger and tamarind goes well!Add very little garlic Because the flavours of garlic don't go well with tamarind.
This dish consists of 2 preps.The first one is the paste And the second prep is the chicken marination.
It's important to do these preparations before you start cooking.Until these preparations are done, you cannot start cooking the dish!In most dishes,
preparations are more important than the cooking process.We hurriedly finish the preparations which hampers the cooking.Then the dish doesn't taste well.So avoid that!Will you please grind it?
Grind it into a fine paste and add some salt into it.And if you're not able to grind it, then add some mustard oil into it.Until then, let's start marinating the chicken.Here's the chicken.I'm using drumsticks and thigh

important to make sure that it doesn't remain raw.Basically, you need to blend the primary ingredient of the dish with the additional ingredients!And it's important to use the ingredients that go well with the primary ingredient.For example, we're cooking Imli Chicken Then the primary
ingredient of the dish is tamarind.So you need to pair tamarind with ingredients which taste well with it.Basically, tamarind goes well with ginger We've already used it in the chutney.Tamarind goes well with red chillies too Tamarind goes well with cumin seeds, Fennel seeds,Fenugreek seeds,So basically, I have surrounded the primary
ingredient with ingredients that go well with it!That's the moral of the story!If you're using a primary ingredient, Then you must surround it with flavours which go well with it.Whenever you construct a dish, Then focus on the primary ingredient And surround it with elements that suit the
primary ingredient.You can't cook a dish with multiple primary ingredients.Alright?Simple, easy, no rocket science?Consider this point whenever you construct a dish.The onion paste is cooked, Garlic is cooked as well.The paste is ready.Don't cook it until it turns a shade darker.Ensure that the paste doesn't stick to the

spiciness of the dish.The balance of sweet, sour and spicy is very important And that's the monopoly of the dish!I've cooked it for 15 minutes.The sourness of tamarind will prevent the meat from getting overcooked.So don't worry about the chicken being overcooked.But it's
important to cook the tamarind sauce well.Keep cooking it for 15 to 20 minutes on a slow flame And cook it for another 3 to 4 minutes without covering it.Because it's very important to cook it well!It's important to add coriander and ginger for finishing the dish.The recipe is incomplete without it.I've told you everything!
